Beehives and Buffalo Chips 212 :: The Daily Herald, Provo Utah: "Beehives and Buffalo Chips 212

The Daily Herald

Buffalo Chip to Eagle Mountain for trying to regulate who can speak about city issues. The city declared that only the mayor and city manager may speak to the press. This gag order is supposed to keep honest employees from blurting out sensitive information, such as details of the Miss Eagle Mountain pageant.
Restricting city employees from speaking to reporters is an affront to the First Amendment, and the people of Eagle Mountain should not stand for it. It's often a whistle-blower who points out something they ought to know. Besides, Mayor Kelvin Bailey is certainly not a credible source of information. He faked his own kidnapping and lied to police. If he'll do that, he'll lie to the press and to his constituents. Why is he still in office, anyway?"
