Crosman Airgun Forum: "I got tired of my scope slopping from side to side. I took the mounts off and filed a groove with a triangular file where the wear line was on the top shoulder. Then I went to Sears and bought 2 6-32 button-head cap screws and a 6-32 tap. I redrilled and tapped the mounts, and now they're rock solid. Filing a groove enables the soft alumium to really bite the barrel, and the bigger screws can take more torque without stripping the heads. Cheap, easy, and all hand tools!"
