FARK.com: Comments Thingee (709525): "I stick to my biased, arrogant opinion that people who 'don't get' the dialogue/story that concerns, the Oracle, The Architect, Smith, etc. (everything that doesn't involve getting kicked in the face) are just too slow to appreciate the concepts, and blame the film for revealing the limits of their imagination. I LOVE those 'boring' elements because I had to see the film 3 times to really dig what The Architect was going on about. It's just typical of Pop America that a creative work comes along, and rather than just short-stroking the nacho disposal units, um, viewers, it challenges them to think and chew at the same time, and gets called 'boring'. The backlash is as pathetic as it it predictable. That's why most stuff just SUCKS. Nobody wants to stretch their skull to accomodate something they aren't already totally familiar with. Music, film, TV,...I'd mention literature, but if half of you finish reading this post, you'll have read 300% as much as the average American sees in a month.
Maybe you guys should just go watch Fear Factor."
