Dungeon Master: The Life and Legacy of Gary Gygax: "In 1973, Gygax formed a company called Tactical Studies Rules with childhood buddy Kaye. They didn't ask Arneson to join. 'Dave was never considered as a partner,' Gygax says.'We didn't figure he was the kind of the guy who would be too good at running a business.'
Arneson agrees. 'Gary was willing to go and make the pitches,' he says. 'I was having fun.'"
